It’s hard to fathom that it’s October and I’m in a short sleeve dress here in California. My entire life all I’ve ever known is gearing up for winter by buying thick sweaters and layers to keep warm, so I’m definitely still figuring out how to dress here! In the mornings it’s chilly, but the afternoons are hot, so it’s taking a bit of time to figure out what works best.
If you’ve followed me for any period of time, you know that I love mixing feminine and edgy pieces like this lace dress with leather studded boots. I love the contrast in pieces, not to mention the fact that it’s impossible for me to pass up a raw hem or lace sleeve detail like the one on this dress! If you have a pretty, feminine dress or top, try pairing it with something like combat boots. Or if you have really pretty heels, try pairing it with skinny jeans and an oversized boyfriend type of top. I love that it makes it hard to categorize and put into one type of style, which is what makes mixing feminine and edgy/masculine pieces interesting and fun to style!
